Summer is here and I couldn’t be any happier!

Fun beach walks, sun, sea and pebbles, yes please. For today’s look, I was inspired by the fruitful flavours of the Light & Free yoghurt range I showed you guys a few weeks back. As you guys know, I’ve been attempting a more Light & Free attitude towards my life and all that I may be faced with. Learning to let go of the little things and remember that life is too short to worry about things you can’t change. This is the first time I’ve attempted a lifestyle change including my diet and actually managed to stick it more than anything I’ve ever tried before. I think the main reason being that this ‘Light & Free’ attitude is just so laid back and realistic for regular busy mums like me.

With the arrival of summer, I’ve been so motivated to stay active and relaxed, things I believe are so important in order to maintain a healthy/stress free mindset, and so what better way to celebrate than with a fun outfit look and a relaxed day at the beach!

I styled my turban into a cute little bow, my pinstriped shirt kept me feeling so breezy in the heat and that huge turn up of my jeans made for a convenient pocket! JOKE. But seriously, huge turn ups in your jeans are so hot right now. Believe me.

Everything I’m wearing is from Zara.

I love this outfit! I could totally see myself wearing this at the beach. It’s very laid back and looks effortlessly stylish.

I love the photography (even the shot of the Greek yogurt by the stones! it looks like a professional advert.

    Love you Dina!

Salam u are a wonderful girl Hun but some down side about u is.It should not be all about fashion. Shahena, you say “Your hair shows and your legs show too it is all about cover up”. What on earth are you talking about? Dina lives in the UK, not some medieval mega-patriarchal oppressive hell. She can wear what she likes. You may think she is not setting a “good example” but you are very. very wrong. Do you know what Stockholm Syndrome is? Have you heard of brainwashing? You need to take a long hard close look at yourself and your impulses Shahena.

    HI DINA,
I’m literally waiting for you to relaunch the hijab collection you released last autumn. The tassel hijabs that came in those AMAZING autumn colours. ( The ones in the BACK TO SCHOOL HIJAB STYLE video last September) Are you planning on selling them again? If so when?? If not then where can I purchase them from – all the ones I have seen look like cheap knockoffs. I WANT THE ORIGINAL DINA TORKIO ones.

I’m really saddened and surprised that you’re promoting such a toxic product. Any product that markets itself as ‘healthy, light, lite, fat free’, tends to be TERRIBLE for you. The clue is in the ingredients:
INGREDIENTS : Yogurt (milk), Raspberry (10%), Oligofructose (fibre), Potato and tapioca starch, Modified maize starch, Stabilisers (pectin, guar gum), Acidity regulators (sodium citrate, lactic acid, calcium citrate), Flavourings, Grape concentrate, Sweeteners (acesulfame K, sucralose), Vitamin D.

Hello Dina! You are a lovely, fashionable and attractive lady. However, I have no clue how your page linked to my Guardian online! I hoped for an inspirational article on diet change and health. Instead I found a promotion blog for Zara, which I am completely neutral to, since I barely drag my debt from one month to another, as a full time poor student like me does in today’s UK! Zara is for me the land I go for window shopping, the untouchable, I get lost in their beautiful colours and patterns, in the beautiful tailoring which shouts Italian Fashion…. I get it, why Zara! BUT why promote sugar-filled, diabetes causing fat free yogurt??? WAS that your epiphany about becoming healthy? A bit misleading….to say the least, but then everything is! In your defence, TV channels are drowning all of us with endless adds for JUNK FOOD, of which your yogurt is just one of many….Good luck getting fit and healthy on sugar filled fat free yogurt! I say go back to nature and keep wearing Zara, as many of us cannot! Have a lovely Christmas, hopefully Zara will send you a few presents for promoting them online! Peace

What concerns me is this vaunting of yoghurt which is not true yoghurt. So many of these products contain none of the probiotic cultures which make them good for health. I don;t know about this one but have an idea it is just an ordinary milk product possibly with added thickeners.
